What we do

Fit-out, start to handover.

We bring together the people, trades, materials and expertise required to deliver the agreed scope of work properly and efficiently, working with established specialist trades and supply-chain partners.

Bar & restaurant fit-out

Back-bars, bar fronts, banquette seating and commercial kitchens, usually against a fixed opening date with a lease already running.

Retail & shopfitting

Shop fit-outs, retail refurbishment, bespoke display joinery, counters and reception areas, fitted furniture, flooring and finishes.

Office fit-out

Partitioning, glazed fronts, tea points and reception desks. Cat A and Cat B, including work phased around a floor still in use.

Commercial refurbishment

Tired units brought back into use for a new tenant. Strip-out, alterations, new services and a finish an agent can market.

What happens next

Four steps, no surprises.

The same sequence on every project, so you always know which stage you are at and what happens next.

Step 01

Initial contact

A member of our team will be in touch within one working day to discuss the project and what you are looking to achieve.

Step 02

Site survey

We take the time to understand the project, the building, the specification and the existing conditions.

Step 03

Quotation

Projects are costed by our in-house surveyors and the quotation is broken down by element, so the cost of each part of the works is clear.

Step 04

Programme

We develop the scope, programme and procurement requirements, coordinating with the wider project team where required.

Questions

Before you get in touch.

How do you price a fit-out?

From a measured survey, never over the phone. The quotation is broken down by element so you can see what each part costs and move money between them. A figure quoted without a site visit is a guess, and guesses turn into variations.

Can you work around a business that is still trading?

Often, yes. We have fitted out units inside live city-centre buildings to fixed opening dates. It changes the sequencing and the working hours rather than ruling the job out. Raise it at the survey and we will programme around it.

Do you deal with landlord and licensing approvals?

We work to landlord specifications and licence conditions routinely, and we will tell you early if something in your design is going to cause a problem with either. Submissions themselves usually sit with your agent or architect, and we supply whatever they need from us.

Who is responsible for health and safety?

On most commercial work we act as principal contractor under CDM and carry the duties that come with it. Method statements, risk assessments and the construction phase plan are issued before anybody starts on site.

What are your insurance and accreditations?

CTD Scotland Ltd is registered in Scotland, company number SC513395, and carries public and employers' liability cover. Current certificates and cover figures go out with every tender and are available on request.

How soon can you start?

It depends what is already on the books, and we will be straight with you about it on the first call rather than stringing you along. If we cannot hit your date we will say so.

Let’s discuss your next project.

Send us your project details and a member of our team will be in touch within one working day. For immediate enquiries, please call us directly.
